- Open source is any program whose source code is made available for use or modification as users or other developers see fit. This makes it so the user can use, change, and improve the software. So anyone can make modifications to it and redistibute copies of the program. Five examples are... (1) Mozilla Firefox (2) Wikipedia (3) Java (4) Netscape (5) Internet.
- I think the phrase "Human Knowledge Belongs to the World" means if someone has something everyone should be able to have it. For exaple if the people who invented the computer decided to keep it to themselfs and not share the knowledge that they have with everyone else, none of us would have the internet and I would not be writing this blog. I think we should all share what we have with eachother because Human Knowledge belongs to the world.
- Technology has changed my life in many ways. First of all we have the ability to send someone a letter, picture, video or whatever in just a matter of seconds with email. Email has changed my life so I can talk to my friends in different parts of the state, country and world. We have electicity to keep ourselfs warm during the winter. We have cars. Cars are good if you want to go to your frinds house or if you want to go on a cross county road tirp. They make transportation easy. Another way of transportation we have that is big, are airplanes. Airplanes make it so you can go to different place over the sea in a matter of just hours instead of having to take a boat for many days, weeks, or months.
- Of all the technological stuff that has been invented lately the one thing I think has changed the world the most has to be the internet. Without the internet there is no email, which makes communication a lot faster. The internet makes it so that you find out just about anything. If it is looking up someones address on mapquest, looking at your favorite teams website, looking up something on google to help with your homework, or just playing fantasy football, the internet has affected us all in a major way!
That is all for today! See ya later. Thanks for reading!
